On a Friday afternoon in Dhaka, in Doha, in Riyadh — thousands of cricketers, footballers, badminton players walk onto local grounds and play. Some are good. A handful are brilliant. A few might be the next national team prospect if anyone were looking. But nobody is. Pro athletes have ESPN. Local players have nothing — no profile, no stats, no recognition, no path.

A 22-year-old who scores 60-not-out in a Dhanmondi league match on Saturday has no way to show that to a club selector on Monday. A footballer who's been the league's top scorer for three years has zero recorded proof of it. The recruiter network is whispers and WhatsApp. The selection system runs on connections, not data. That's the problem Playr was built to fix.

What sports does Playr support?

Playr launched with cricket and football — the two most-played local sports in Bangladesh and the GCC — and now supports badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball and futsal. New sports are added based on player demand, with the next batch including hockey and athletics.

Is Playr free for players?

Yes. Building a profile, recording your matches, viewing live scores and following players is completely free. Premium tiers for clubs, tournament organisers and recruiters unlock bulk match management, analytics and player-discovery tools — that is how Playr is funded.

How does match tracking work?

For every match you play, you (or your team scorer) record runs, wickets, goals, assists, sets and points directly in the app. Stats roll up automatically into your player profile — batting average, bowling economy, goals per match, win rate. Public matches also stream live scores so friends, family and recruiters can follow.

Can recruiters and clubs find players on Playr?

Yes. Clubs, academies and corporate-league organisers use Playr Recruiter to search players by sport, role, location, stats and availability. Players control what's visible — open to offers, open to trials, or just tracking for personal use.

Where does Playr work?

Playr is live across Bangladesh, Qatar, KSA, UAE and a growing list of GCC countries — and works globally for personal match tracking. The core local-league features (live events, tournament discovery, recruiter network) are densest in our launch markets and expanding fast.
